Dipped beam headlights allow you to see clearly and be seen without blinding others when it is dark. A green symbol for dipped headlights is shown in the corner.
Driving lamps or headlights are also called the main beam, used to see clearly and be seen. The inset shows the blue main beam symbol.
A car's lights are used to see clearly and to be seen by other road users without blinding them. Sidelights provide the least amount of light.

Dipped beam headlights allow you to see clearly and be seen without blinding others when it is dark. A green symbol for dipped headlights is shown in the corner.
